J19 – Study to assess the feasibility of creating a database of CE marked products (end client: European Commission, DG Grow)

The project is led by RPA Prague together with Risk & Policy Analysts Ltd, supported by RPA Europe. (all under subcontract to COWI)

J17 – Ex-post evaluation of the Consumer Programme (2014-20) (end client: European Commission, DG for Justice and Consumers)

The aim of the project is to provide DG JUST with evidence and analysis to allow it to carry out an ex-post assessment of the 2014-2020 Consumer Programme.

The project is led by Risk & Policy Analysts Ltd and RPA Prague. Other organisations involved in the project include Civic Consulting, the British Institute of International and Comparative Law (BIICL), the Office for Economic Policy and Regional Development (EPRD), and RPA Europe.

Project duration: 2023-2024.

J16 – Prospective study on the future of the postal sector (end client: European Commission, DG Grow)

The aim of the study is to develop a prospective assessment of the European postal sector.

The project is led by RPA Prague (together with Risk & Policy Analysts Ltd). Other organisations involved in the project include RAND Europe and RPA Europe. (all under subcontract to COWI)

Project duration: 2023-2024.

J15 – Alternatives to skin sensitising substances in consumer products (end client: German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment, BfR)

The aim of the study is to investigate the possibility of substituting skin sensitising substances in mixtures for consumer use.

RPA Prague is supporting the assessment of the feasibility of substitution. Other organisations involved in the project include Oekopol (lead), Risk & Policy Analysts Ltd, and RPA Europe.

J14 – Cancer prevention at work (funded under Horizon Europe)

Cancer Prevention at Work (CPW) is an EU-funded project comprised of 19 European organisations that is piloting the use of occupational health surveillance programmes to reduce the prevalence of major infections (Hp, HCV and HPV) that are a risk factor in the development of cancer.

RPA Prague is the lead for Work Package 6 (Cost-effectiveness assessment). The project coordinator is the University of Bologna (Italy).

J13 – Study on asbestos waste management practices and treatment technologies (end client: European Commission, DG for Environment)

The aim of the study was to investigate asbestos waste management practices and technologies.

RPA Prague focussed on several aspects of the study, including the current waste management practices. Other organisations involved in the project included RPA Europe (lead), Danish Technological Institute (DTI), and Arcadis.

J12 – Study analysing the health, socio-economic and environmental impacts in connection with possible amendments of Directive 2004/37/EC (end client: European Commission, DG Employment)

This study supports the European Commission’s Impact Assessment of potential new Occupational Exposure Limits (OEL), Short-Term Exposure Limits (STEL), Biological Limit Values (BLV) and skin notations for a number of substances.

RPA Prague is responsible for the impact assessment of a potential new Occupational Exposure Limit (OEL), Short-Term Exposure Limit (STEL), Biological Limit Value (BLV) and skin notation for 1,4-dioxane and methodological advice across all substances considered in the study. Other organisations involved in the project include Risk & Policy Analysts Ltd (lead), COWI, FoBiG, RPA Europe, and EPRD.

Project duration: 2022-2024.

J09 – Guidance for the safe management of hazardous medicinal products at work (end client: European Commission, DG Employment)

The guide focuses on preventing and controlling risks from occupational exposure to hazardous medicinal products.

The project was led by RPA Prague (together with Risk & Policy Analysts Ltd). Other organisations involved in the project included PreventPartner, Institute of Occupational Medicine (IOM), Exposure Control Sweden, NOVA National School of Public Health, RPA Europe, Farrows, and a panel of external expert advisors.

Project duration: 2022-2023.

J08 – Professional hair care product market in Germany (end client: private client)

RPA Prague developed a detailed analysis of the German professional hair care market in 2021 for a leading market research provider. This included Internet searches and telephone interviews with hair care product manufacturers and distributors, as well as sector experts.

Project duration: 2021-2022.

J05 – Support to the possible introduction of additional information
requirements on uses and exposures in REACH (end client: European Commission, DG for Environment)

The project reviewed the currently available use and exposure data generated through REACH and assessed the impacts of a potential revision to the requirements for reporting by REACH registrants and downstream users.

RPA Prague was responsible for the overall management of the project and parts of the impact assessment. Other organisations involved in the project included Oekopol, FoBiG, Risk & Policy Analysts Ltd, and RPA Europe.
